The Design and Development Process
1. Understanding the Client’s Needs: Rawhides is based at Stenen situated in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. They already had a functional website when they approached us. They had clear thoughts on how they wanted their website to be redesigned and be with the times to highlight the new offerings at the property.
2. Design Approach: The design had to give special emphasis to their culinary delights offered at the Restaurant and emphasise the other five business verticals of Salon & Spa, Wedding & Events, Campground, Suite Accommodations and Merchandise & Art Gallery.
3. Enhancing User Experience (UX): Rawhides is a large property. The Home Page begins with a logo animation for brand recall followed by an Aerial shot of the property. Subsequent pictures showcase different areas of the facility. The menu at the top is a no brainer with direct links to each of the verticals. Users are not required to navigate any complex drop downs to dig out the desired section of the website.
Development and Technology
1. Advanced Technology Stack: We utilized the latest web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and WordPress, to build a robust and scalable website. This approach ensured optimal performance, security and ease of maintenance.
2. Performance Optimization: We have implemented best industry practices for performance optimization including caching, image compression and minimizing code bloat ensuring quick load times and a smooth user experience.
3. Easy to use Admin: Detailed end user training was conducted for the Webmaster for managing the website. A custom manual was handed over to the webmaster to make website editing easy going forward.
